We believe that an Elmhurst education should be available to every deserving student, but for many first-generation college students, the possibility of going away to college may be remote—or even unattainable. That's why last year, Elmhurst College launched the American Dream Scholarship contest, which is open to all first-generation college students who have been admitted to Elmhurst College. All students who enter receive some scholarship support; the winner receives a four-year, full-tuition scholarship.
